Perry Fenwick as Billy WON’T be written out

On Sunday, an article in The People newspaper claimed the Perry Fenwick’s character in EastEnders – Billy Mitchell – was to be written out in what the paper claimed was to be “explosive.” The paper also claimed that show insiders had said that the character of Billy “had nowhere else to go” and this had prompted the show’s writers to plan to kill him off.
However, I’m pleased to report that EastEnders bosses have completely denied the report and a spokesperson for the show said that Perry as Billy “has some great material coming up over the next few weeks” and added that, “his long-term storylines are looking very exciting.”
Billy’s been in the show for nearly 11 years now and it just wouldn’t be the same without him would it? He’s hopeless and fairly depressing usually, but I can’t imagine Walford life without Billy! Would you miss him if he went?
Here’s a clip from the episode where Honey went into labour on their wedding day… poor Billy!
